ABOUT
Bhoof Performance Stirrup 1 is a lightweight, adjustable safety stirrup developed in Sweden, designed to optimize balance, stability, and the rider’s position in the saddle. With a patented adjustment system, the stirrup can be tailored to the rider’s individual biomechanics for more even contact, reduced strain, and a more fluid ride.
The design is specifically adapted for show jumping, allowing the stirrup to follow the horse’s movement in balance throughout the entire jump and provide optimal conditions for performance.
The footplate is equipped with drainage holes and grip studs, ensuring stability in all weather conditions. The integrated studs are height-adjusted to provide the correct foot angle for jumping. The convex footplate allows the foot to roll naturally across the surface and follow the horse’s movement throughout the jump. This enables dynamic riding with maintained power alignment, flexibility, and shock-absorbing properties -without compromising stability.
The ergonomic lightweight design is developed for riders who want to maximize the horse’s performance potential without compromising balance or safety. The shape is free from sharp edges to avoid disturbing the horse during use.

RYDE™ SYSTEM
The integrated RYDE™ system enables both lateral adjustment and rotation of the stirrup attachment. The lateral adjustment allows full contact between the footplate and the sole of the foot, contributing to increased stability and a more correct position. The rotatable attachment follows the natural angle of the hip, resulting in a straighter ankle alignment, reduced tension in knees and legs, and increased hip mobility. This supports effective use of the lower leg and reduces pressure from the stirrup leather.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RYDE & BHOOF STIRRUP
- Ryde’s stirrups have a concave footplate, while Bhoof’s stirrup features a convex footplate that promotes a more effective push into the stirrup while jumping and a lot of movement.

CAN THE STIRRUP BE USED WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT AT START?
Yes, the stirrup is ready to ride out of the box and can be used in a neutral setting without individual angle adjustment, if preferred. Just make sure to tighten the screw hard before ride and check adjustment screw regularly.
