Peder Fredricson behind the development of a new stirrup for international top sport.
Engineered at Grevlunda, Sweden with patented adjustability for comfort, safety, and performance.
STEP 1 – LATERAL ADJUSTMENT.
Loosen the screw to adjust. By adjusting the lateral angle of the stirrup, even pressure across the foot can be achieved while maintaining close contact with the horse.
STEP 2 – STIRRUP LEATHER ADJUSTMENT.
Use the Stirrup Leather Adjustment to follow the natural angle of the hip. This helps center the foot on the footplate and reduces tension in the knees and legs, allowing for full contact and a more stable position.
STEP 3 – TIGHTEN THE SCREW HARD BEFORE RIDE.
Check the screw regularly. This should be part of your routine when checking your gear.
MAXIMUM SAFETY – IN ALL CONDITIONS.
The Bhoof Performance stirrup features a magnetic-release safety mechanism on the outer arm, designed to release in any direction during a fall - helping to reduce the risk of the foot getting caught.
THE FACTS.
Can the stirrup be used without adjustment at start?
Yes, the stirrup is ready to ride out of the box and can be used in a neutral setting without individual angle adjustment, if preferred. Just make sure to tighten the screw hard before ride and check adjustment screw regularly.
Can I get help with the adjustments of the Bhoof stirrup?
Of course, book a personal concierge here.
With a patented adjustment system, the stirrup can be tailored to the rider’s individual biomechanics for more even contact, reduced strain, and a more fluid ride.
GET STARTED.
Adjustment with RYDE system™
Use the included Torx 25 key. Insert the key into the screw head beneath the top holder and loosen the screw for adjustment. One turn enables lateral adjustment; two turns allow rotation of the stirrup attachment. Attach the stirrups and begin adjusting while seated in the saddle. Start from the neutral (0) position to evaluate what your foot requires.
Only use the Torx 25 tool provided with the stirrups. Make sure to tighten hard before ride and check regularly.
Lateral Adjustment
By adjusting the lateral angle of the stirrup, even pressure across the foot can be achieved while maintaining close contact with the horse. This is a key factor for balance, stability, and a steady lower leg.
If increased pressure is felt on the outside of the foot, adjust toward the plus (+) side of the scale. This raises the inner side of the stirrup and promotes clear contact with the ball of the foot.
The goal is a straight ankle and full contact with the footplate. Aim for the sensation of standing firmly on the ground, and maintain active contact with the footplate at all times.
Stirrup Leather Adjustment
Use the Stirrup Leather Adjustment to follow the natural angle of the hip. This helps center the foot on the footplate and reduces tension in the knees and legs, allowing for full contact and a more stable position.
Start in the neutral (zero) position. If the footplate angles under the foot, rotate the stirrup until it sits centered without twisting.
Riders with greater outward hip rotation may adjust toward plus (+), while riders with greater inward rotation may adjust toward minus (–).
Maximum safety – in all conditions
The Bhoof Performance stirrup features a magnetic-release safety mechanism on the outer arm, designed to release in any direction during a fall - helping to reduce the risk of the foot getting caught. After release, the arm automatically resets, ensuring the stirrup is ready for use again without manual reset.
Maintenance, accessories and service
To maintain performance and finish, rinse with water and clean regularly using a soft brush. Only mild cleaning agents safe for aluminium and plastic should be used.
