Originally from Santa Monica, California, Zazou Hoffman rose from an elite junior standout - earning the Ronnie Mutch Working Student Scholarship, winning the 2009 ASPCA Maclay Championship, and placing top 10 at every major equitation final - to a successful international Grand Prix rider and trainer. A Cum Laude UCLA graduate, she joined MeadowGrove Farm full-time in 2014. Under the guidance of Dick Carvin, Francie Steinwedell Carvin, and Susie Schroer, she progressed to represent the United States in Nations Cup competitions, including the 5* Spruce Meadows Masters. Zazou went on to secure marquee wins such as the 5* Spruce Meadows AON Cup and multiple 3* Grand Prix victories. From 2021–2024, Zazou trained and competed in Europe with Jos Lansink and Mathijs van Asten, earning consistent top finishes in 3* and 4* Grand Prix events and developing top-level young horses. Now a partner at MeadowGrove, she focuses on producing riders and horses for sustained success at the highest levels of the sport.
