Nick grew up in Ontario, Canada before coming to the U.S. as a working student under Jacob pope  at the age of 17. That year, and the year following, he qualified and competed at the Medal  ASPCA Maclay Finals. He then went on to spend the summer in Europe working under show jumping royalty Margie Goldstein-Engle before officially declaring his professional status.
Nick has gone on to successfully compete in numerous Grand Prix up to the 3 star level as well as successfully compete in under 25 Grand Prix competitions.
In 2022, Nick was ranked 2nd overall in the Canadian U25 standings, and has acquired multiple circuit champion and reserve champion titles in various hunter and jumper divisions at the winter equestrian festival. 2025 saw Nick co Train Sydney Mohrhardt to win both the Taylor Harris medal finals as well as the NHS finals.
